Brightening Life with Creativity,
one day at a time...
I finished the sample! (Please ignore the date on the picture...I forgot to reset the date on my camera! :)
This is the class series I started teaching back in September of last year and I am so pleased with the results! It's one thing to design something on paper (or in this case EQ7) and quite another to see the real thing come together. I love the batiks and that even though the rows are all different, there is still good flow to the overall quilt.
I'm choosing not to quilt it right now, so that if/when I teach the series again, it will be easier to store and show the new students the backs of the blocks.
I am so proud of the six ladies who have taken these classes! They have all worked so hard and their blocks and rows are looking beautiful! The best part? They've formed some neat friendships with each other along the way!
Even though we still have two more meetings before we are truly "finished", we've already decided that we don't want the fun to end! We will start a new project in September. So be on the look-out for more posts!
