Brightening Life with Creativity,
one day at a time...
When creativity strikes you, what do you do?
Do you run to your sketchbook? Do you rummage through your supplies?
Perhaps a little bit of both?
After I wrapped up my Christmas gift giving projects, creativity struck! Here's what it can look like for me:
Add it all up and what do you get?
A BIG mess! :)
All joking aside, sometimes creativity is messy! Don't feel bad about it!
I've always told my kids that messes are ok, especially when it comes to art, as long as we pick them up!
In every one of the pictures above, there is an element of my latest fiber art piece (It's finished and I'll show you soon).
If I hadn't gotten it all out, how would I know what worked well together and what didn't?
Sometimes seeing different materials tossed in a random pile leads to another idea or combination
that I originally hadn't thought of!
So as we blast into 2015,
I hope you have a safe new year, filled with blessings
and that we all remember:
Fiber artist, wife to a wonderful husband and mom to 2 awesome kids
