What a busy summer!
And here it is the middle of September!
Without further delay, here is a picture of the improvisational piecing that I mentioned to you way back in June:
Crazy thing about this piece? The edges really are straight! The curved seams and angled blocks do play tricks on the eyes though. I was surprised by how challenging this really was. You would think that without a pattern it would go together easily, but that was not the case. I didn't use any rulers or measurements, so getting all of the blocks to fit was a bit tricky! I enjoyed it though and the technique is a great way to use up scraps.
