Brightening Life with Creativity,
one day at a time...
A couple of weeks ago, I entered a juried fiber art show put on by The Art Council of Brazos Valley. I was notified yesterday that I get to exhibit two of my pieces along with the work of 34 other fiber artists!
I am grateful and honored for another opportunity to show my work! Click here for an article with more information. :)
I finished the center square (24 1/2") for the quilt. Yippee!!! Even though the classes for this quilt won't start until September, I wanted to get a jump start on it.
I love how the colors work together but still provide some contrast especially set against the stark white on white. Since the center block sets the "tone" for the rest of the quilt, I'm excited to see where this one is going! Can't wait to hear what the ladies in the class think of my wild choices! :) Here are a couple of other pictures, one showing the square on point (like it will be in the finished quilt) and the other showing more detail.
