I know... I know! It's been forever since I've posted, and I'm sorry about that! Over the last few months, life has been all sorts of happy and sad things rolled up together, but let's focus on the happy, shall we? My youngest will be walking down the aisle in just a few weeks to marry a wonderful young man! As I have been grappling will all of the emotions that seem to come with this experience and "empty nesting," I have also been helping to coordinate, "Connections," a new show for the Art Quilters with Altitude at the Sluice in Colorado Springs. I will have four pieces in the show and despite how busy I've been lately, it was fun to try some new things. :) I combined some of my mixed media techniques with my fiber art. Here are quick snap shots of two of the four pieces: The show will run from August 4th-25th, so if you are in the area, please stop by!

I hope this finds all of you doing well and
that you had a nice Thanksgiving! I can't believe Christmas is just eighteen (18!) days from now! The final showing of Elevated Threads, from the Art Quilters with Altitude group is coming up at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, in Golden Colorado! January 16th - April 16th, 2023 Some of us will be speaking about our work at two different Sundays at the Museum days: January 8th and March 12th! If you're in the area, I encourage you to stop by and see all of these pieces and if one tugs at your heart strings, it may even be for sale! (New here and/or don't remember the Elevated Threads exhibit? You can read more about it here!) Wishing you and yours a blessed and Merry Christmas! |
