Brightening Life with Creativity,
one day at a time...
I'm home from vacation and trying to get back in the swing of things. My family and I enjoyed our trip to New Mexico, where we basked in the beautiful weather, ate the delicious food and marveled at the gorgeous vistas! One day, we visited Las Golondrinas, the living history museum of Santa Fe, and there we found a quilt store! :) The picture on the left is actually taken in what would have been considered the general store of the time, so you can see how limited the fabric selection was. Of course, back then, fabric off the bolt was purchased for clothing purposes, not quilting purposes anyway. Aren't we blessed today to have a hobby that is no longer deemed a necessity and can be fulfilled in so many beautiful, creative ways?
