Brightening Life with Creativity,
one day at a time...
A while back, when I experimented with the Circle Cutter and Oval Templates by Alto's, I promised a follow up to let you see what I came up with. I'm sorry for the delay! The summer has gotten away from me a bit! :-)
Here is a picture of a design I call Flower Chain. As you can see I used the ovals, oval rings and circles I cut and showed you in previous posts.
I had the most fun intertwining the "chain links" and I was surprised at how easy it actually was! The design possibilities are endless! :-)
I had some oval rings left over from the Flower Chain design and I couldn't just let them go to waste! You couldn't either, could you? :-)
I intertwined them on to a left over piece of my hand-dyed yellow and here is the result. This unnamed piece is small~about 11 x 12" and it kind of reminds me of a Celtic design with a modern, funky twist.
As I continue to finish up and quilt these two pieces, I would love to hear from you! What do you like about them? Which is your favorite? Any ideas on a name for the smaller one? Feel free to leave a comment on the blog or you can email me.
Excited to hear from you! :-)
